Boys Bedroom Decor That Will Last Until High School
When it comes to decorating a boy’s room, the décor should be simple. If you use the right colors and patterns, you will be able to keep the same décor throughout high school without having to change much. Paint Colors

Tans are a great choice for paint when it comes to a boy’s room; the color can be used with reds, blues, greens, oranges, or anything else you’d like. Thus, while you’re thinking that the bright blue paint at the store would look great in your boy’s room, think about how long he will like it and how much work it is to repaint.
Bedding
Bedding can be changed over the years, but as a rule of thumb when buying sheets and pillow cases, purchase the ones that are solid in color and offer a neutral color such as brown, tan or white. You can change the comforter to the style that suits your boy for his age and keep the same sheets through many different designs.
Windows
When you are decorating windows in a boy’s room, the simpler the better. Wood blinds are a great choice and then just use a valance that coordinates with the sheets. The window coverings should be neutral.
Décor
As your son ages, his tastes will change, and it is a good idea to find some versatile pieces of furniture such as book shelves, work desks and dressers that will last throughout his school years. The furniture, bedding, window treatments and paint should be able to last from elementary school to high school age without needing changes, but décor will often be swapped out and replaced. You can find a few items that will last such a desk lamp with a neutral shade, a few pictures that are not age discriminate, and maybe some sports memorabilia that can be displayed. Décor is something that will always change, and it is not as expensive to replace as the other fixtures in the room. Just be sure to work with neutral colors everywhere else and let the décor bring out the color and personality of your boy.
